The way I'm reading the rules, the 1125 is legal for classes ET up to Hot Street.

Correct?

Not Hot Street, class is limited to pushrod motors. The way I have read the rules any of the Index classes or the ET class and Pro Gas. I wonder how an 1125 would live with a bunch of boost or a lot of N2O.

Well, if I can get my act in gear over the winter, and actually run some respectable times, I'm going to give it a shot.

But we'll see.

youd be the first to run one with us
check with them before you start buying your yearly membership etc though, just to make sure its legal for the classes.
Truthfully, I dont see why it wouldnt be legal for the index classes

as for ProGas - dont waaste your time, no way you'll be able to hang with those boys without a TON of work (different chassis, lots of boost or N20 etc)
Not impossible, but with noone really doing big HP builds on that motor yet its really uncharted territory

Why not run Pro Gas. Someone has to run the motor making big horsepower so the rest of us can see how he did it. Maybe back east there are a lot of people running big numbers but not at Woodburn usually 1 person is running low 7's the rest are 7.9 or low 8's. Yea it would take a drag frame but the bike weight should be under 300 lbs with a healthy shot of NOS 250 hp should be attainable and that should equate to high 7's. IMO

how much does stock motor weigh?
I have a hard time thinking this sort of bike would weigh less than 300 lbs.

Yes, someone has to step up and do a big motor build on these to lead the way, but
a) he mentioned in his other thread about wanting to keep his bike streetable. not possible with a PG bike.
b) he'd better have deep pockets, I dont know him, maybe he does, but thats a big risk to start testing new motor packages etc

Yes, PG record is high 6's, usually running mid 7s
Browne Racing might change that soon though, they have a new turbo bike thats really shaping up.
More people are talking about G2 bikes as well, picking some of those up. Those are 7 flat bikes.

Not to mention the fact that we're not even sure if the 1125 motor would be legal for the AHDRA

It was nice to meet you too. I had a blast and am really looking forward to next year. No way can they tell me I cant run the 1125 after I saw a Norton running today!
