Well since I haven't been able to purchase a dedicated track bike, it looks like my 1125 is going to be seeing track and street duty next year.

Anyone here running their street 1125 on the track with any regularity?

What have you results been on the track?

What changes to the bike did you make?

You can look in my thread here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/158 664/521982.html?1283479697

Shows pretty much what I did to mine.
I didn't go too crazy in the build-up, kept belt, fans, etc.

I was with Smoke at Homecoming 08 when we rode from the host hotel to Black Hawk Farms (1 1/2 hrs I believe). Smoke took off his mirrors, turn signals and tag. Taped up the lights and off he went for the track day.

At the end of the day he put all the stuff back on and off we rode back to the host hotel.

i raced that same bike this past weekend to a 3rd in HWT SB in race 3 after crashing the dedicated race bike in race 1. 20,000 miles, street suspension settings, and the wrong tire pressures.LOL took the first couple of laps to feel it out. got the race bike back on the track for race 12 and took 2nd.
have fun, the bike will do it. disconnect the noid.

Paint - true dat.

It takes seven bolts (2 each mirror, 3 for tail light assembly) and a little tape, and the conversion is done. Set your tire pressures (30/28 or so for stock Pirelli's), maybe tweak the suspension, and you are good to go. The 1125 is close to track-ready right out of the box.

(+1 on denoid, if you haven't done it already).

Go to the track!!!
