That isn't being harrassed by Rossi.

When he pulls alongside at 200mph and 'tweaks' your front brake lever you've been harrassed by him!

I don't think Rossi is playing mind games with Spies yet, he is too busy concentrating on Stoner and Lorenzo at the moment.

That's ASSAULT, Trojan. I don't think he even did that to Max Biaggi, though!

You'd be surprised at just how common things like are in even club racing, let alone GP's!

When Rossi first started in 500GP he was shocked at just how aggressive the riders were even on the warm up lap compared to the 250 guys (and they call the 250 class the 'axe murderer class!). He apparently complained to Jerry Burgess that people were trying to run him off the track before the race started.

If you want to see the REAL king of GP dirty tricks then Loris Capirossi is your man : )

That's ASSAULT,

Dude you should go riding with some of these racer guys. Just keep your kill switch covered, it might "accidentially" get bumped.

People have been known to grab tail sections to get a little extra "drafting" donw long straights. Then there is the classic "Brake test"; hit you brakes hard once with someone right on your ass in a fast section. You also have your foot on the other guys foot peg trick.

These guy are interested in winning and pretty much anything short of actually t-boning someone is OK.

Of course these are only motorcycle racers, you should see the stuff the bicycle guys do

DANG.

And Dave, I used to race bicycles (just never got into racing motorized vehicles). I guess I shouldn't be surprised. :-(

I avoid riding with Erik and his buds. They scare me. Plus I am so slow they are gone in the first mile; )

Nicky Hayden was asked about the rough tactics and he said that after racing on the Mile, he could handle MotoGP stuff.

Out of curiosity, then... why were there so many complaints about Toseland's style the first season he raced in MotoGP? As he said in an interview, his style of passing was simply shrugged off in WSBK as normal.

I'd love to see Rossi on an XR 750 at the Springfield Mile. It would do him good to have his ass handed to him.
Even better; I'd love to see Pedrosa on the Mile.

Vale was SUPPOSED to ride the TZ750 Dirt Tracker at Indy last year but after watching King Kenny, he decided not to. Probably a WISE decision on his part...

After seeing the King on that TZ750 I think just about anyone MotoGP rider would pass on riding the mile. I was at the springfield mile watching my cousin AJ run an XR750 a few years ago. They are just stupid fast there. Big bikes going sideways take big balls.

It would be interesting to see some of those guys come here and master the dirt."Back",did you ever catch any of the M.A.R.S.(Motorcycle Asphalt Racing Series) with the flattrack bikes on paved ovals,1/2 miles and short tracks ? It was odd seeing bikes smoking front and rear tires thru the corners.Yes,those "kids" carry some nuggets.

Almost all Australian international gp and wsb spent their formative years racing dirt track. They are as good on the dirt as they are on the asphalt.

Out of curiosity, then... why were there so many complaints about Toseland's style the first season he raced in MotoGP? As he said in an interview, his style of passing was simply shrugged off in WSBK as normal.

Most of the complaints about Toseland were because he took some very 'unorthodox' racing lines (in GP terms) that sometimes resulted in contact. The guys coming up rom 250 GP weren't used to his 'square off the corner and gun it' style so regularly came into contact with him.
He is really no rougher than other riders and certainly no rougher than Rossi can be when he wants to intimidate another rider (Laguna 2008 anyone?). Toseland is seldom involved in fairing bashing in WSB and is actually seen as a smooth and clean rider in that series.

I think the GP boys would throw a fit if Johnny Rea got into MotoGP!
