many of us remember BOTT & Lucifer's Hammer[s] - there's a LOT of early Buell history in these names & acronyms, not the least of which was the rider

Gene was truly THE MAN in BOTT in mid-80s, a fine person & a clean, hard-charging racer

Hey guys....I just made a public pledge on Road Racing World challenging other team owners to do the same. I know I am lucky to still be in the business as banged up as my body is. Looks like Gene hasn't been that lucky. When it boils down to it...there's a lot of things in life more important than R6's, GSXR's, and 1125R's. Maybe some of you guys could help him out? Although I have lost touch with him...he is an original and great guy.

Thank you Davegess and Duggram...God bless. I talked to LD last night. He said they were getting support from old friends....also Don Tilley. His back is the main problem...lots of surgeries. If he doesnt come up with 2200 by Monday...he will be evicted. Every little bit helps. Good luck to everyone in the 2010 season.

I raced with Gene many times in the early '90's at Roebling Rd, by this time Gene was on a Honda CBR900RR and was still flying!
I'll never forget watching him on the Harley @ Daytona in the 80's, first class guy all the way.
I raced Joe Robison's Harley/Buell for a few years, and many people would ask if the bike was Lucifers Hammer, only wish it had been!!!
I hope things start looking up for Gene soon......

I'm in for a "C Note" . . . I never met Gene but he's a legend. Our thought are prayers are with him and his family.

What could be better than seeing lots of Buell folks, each tossing in $25 or $50, get Gene out of a bind . . . this is a really important deal.
