Anyone done this? Before Buell folded I bought a kit of parts through the race dept to convert my spare XB wheels to fit the 1125 racebike (chain conversion).

The kit includes...

AA0507.12CBL Screw, 5/16-18X7/8 Qty=3
CH0021.08AZ Wheel Sprocket Spacer qty=1
E0005.05AH Bearing rear wheel qty=2
G0323.05AH R. Wh. Bearing spacer inner qty=1
G0328.08AZ R. Wh. Bearing spacer outer L qty=1
G0329.08AZ R. Wh. Bearing spacer outer R qty=1
H0150.07AH Rear brake rotor qty=1

Anyway I popped the old bearings and spacer out of my XB wheel and noticed the new spacer won't fit in the wheel, its about an 1/8" too big in diameter. I suppose I could machine the id of the wheel larger but I thought the wheels were interchangeable. Any of you guys that did just a chain conversion on the 1125 - did the bearing spacer drop in?

You do need to machine out the id of the wheel. Stock wheels are interchangeable.

Thanks. Did you just scribe a line and take a dremel to it?

I had a machine shop do it but you could do that as well.

I had to do it in the pits at Laguna last year for Shawn - yep, scribe and Dremel will do just fine.

Steve - I remember walking up to Shawn's pit area last summer and seeing you busy with the Dremel. Ah, the memories...
