I have the comcast DVR. When I try to record the races that starts at midnight, the machine will not record the race. I have missed both of the daytona sportbike sunday races for the last two race weekends. This really sucks. Does anyone have the same problem or any suggestions. When I check the schedule it looks like it will record the midnight race but it has missed both of them.

I have not been able to set them up consistently. I have to go through the schedule manually and hit the record button. Mine doesn't even find them when I do a search. Comcast blows

I think that the DVR thinks that it is a repeat show and does not record it...if you have selected record "first runs only". I have missed them also, now manually go in and hit the record button for each show.

Thanks for the help. I had already switched to "record every episode" mode including repeats but I guess the midnite start time still f'd it up. Why couldn't the superbikes run at midnite it recorded them at 1:00.

Only a few races left so i will switch to full manual mode.

Anyone going to the races at NJMP? I have a few friends that I convinced to go. I'll still record the races though so I can see what I missed.

Weird...I have Comcast w/ DVR service, and have no problem whatsoever. I just have all shows listed as "motorcycle racing" set to record. The only bad thing is having to keep on top of deleting duplicates, especially when they don't distinguish between day 1 and day 2 for any particular venue.

Set your series recording to "record all" or whatever, like Ponti says. Then it should catch all motorcycle races.

I do a search for "motorcycle Racing" in the title search, then go through all of the dates and times, select which events I want to record. So far no problems, but it sucks that I can't set a series record for this. It all lies in the guide titles & descriptions I think. So far, no problems with DVR or high speed internet.
