Great race! I've always loved to watch dirt track. It was fun to see Pegram on dirt again and he wasn't on a Harley. G |

The coverage that Speed had for the Mile was quite good. Any dirt race with Dave Despain is sure to be interesting as he knows and truly loves the sport. It is cool to see Kawasaki, Yamaha, Aprilla, BMW and Ducati based bikes out there. I am a XR-750 fan (nut?), but the one make race can not last forever. Hope Pegram is there for the Labor Day Mile. |

I doubt that he will be. Labor Day weekend is when the New Jersey Road Race is happening. Hopefully, Pegram will be at the Indy Mile. |

Enjoyed watching flat track racing's biggest race on Speed. I would watch every round if they televised it. No Harley sounds as cool as a high revving XR 750 with a Supertrap exhaust! |

I also enjoyed the Speed channel presentation. Springfield and before San Jose's mile were always the best to watch. More so then the short tracks. I enjoyed seeing Jay Springsteen and others in Illinois when I was there, did a little amateur racing when I was younger, and really got to know just how much skill and guts it takes to ride that form of racing. Did anybody see or here in the report that Danny Eslick was there and a younger brother was competing and in the mix of things? A true racing family I guess. Anyways I'm glad to see Speed channel airing this great venue. Just remember to "turn right to go left" and wfo mostly. Now I've got to go look for my iron "shoe" Stay safe guys, great job Speed channel. (Message edited by bob_thompson on June 15, 2009) |
