During the last race at Jennings, the rear was lose in nearly every left hand corner(especially late in the day). Was fine in the right handers. I purposely tried to get it to move on the right handers

I was on a Pirelli Dragon Super Corsa that had 2 practices and 2 sprint races from the last Jennings weekend. Forgot to flip it (doh!) I have applied the Higbee settings with minor adjustments. The bike felt fine, other than wanting step out. I weigh around 200 with all my gear on and the sag has been set accordingly by both the Higbee settings and other recomendations.

Any suggestions?

Also WANTED: Pit crew help @ Jennings May 30 and 31.

Supercorsa pressures HOT in the rear should be about 28. Try to measure it the INSTANT you come off the track. Even better if your pit chief is at the track exit.

Here the Pirelli guys are RIGHT at the track exit so it's a good way to check.

A lot of people tend to run them too high.

AND maaaaaaybe just a tad too hard on compression damping - MAYBE. Try a half turn less compression damping AFTER you have fresh tires with one session on them.

Damping adjustments "on the net" get kinda iffy.

See what the Pirelli guys tell you next track session. The trackside tire vendors are a GREAT resource.

Pirelli guy was recommending 32f/27r (which I ran). I set the pressure after 45 min on the warmers. I then came off the track and checked the PSI on pit road. It was was @ 29 and I believe we adjusted to 28. The tire PSI remained the same the rest of the day. I should also note Jennings has 14 turns, 11 of which are lefts, 3 of which are rights.

OK well, that shoots the tire pressure theory...

Slaughter,

Thanks for the info. After comparing the race bike to the street bike, I believe I need a tad less compression and a faster rebound. Also, I forgot to flip the tire and the left side is probably just worn out for high speed stuff.

Unfortunately I won't be back on the track until May 30 for race practice to try anything out.

Just hook up with Kent at GMD or Thermosman and get them to set up your bike for you and be done with it. Otherwise your're gonna be chasing your tail.
