Got a nice note back from Eric DeHaven - encouraging you to stop by and say HI at WERA/Vegas:

well here is a pic of the new bike, We just finished it today, put the last sticker on and all we are waiting for is Friday morning Mike F from Ohlins (Thermosman) is coming out to Vegas to meet us and install the full Ohlins kit.

I'd also encourage anybody else who MIGHT be in the Vegas area next weekend, stop in and say HI. This kid is up and coming and in 10 years, you'll be able to say "I knew him when he was just starting"

Imagine, 14 years old with a FIM international PRO license, AMA PRO license, WERA PRO license, CCS PRO license, WSMC PRO license!!!

Thank you! Now that's impressive. I can't even imagine being 14 with a dad that cool. I will look for Eric and Austin Friday morning. We're planning to arrive between 5 and 6 Thursday so we will be up early Friday.

Either wet or cold/windy this weekend. Justin grenaded his 125 in his solo race. He is fast on the 600. Passes me in turns at will.

There are three Buells here. Me and the Latus team. They are all really great folks. Crew cheif Ronnie has been big time help. Josh & Allan talk freely, give good advice. More later when not on iPhone.

Duggram, read the article on "Racing Families" in the March 2008 issue of Roadracing World Magazine. They feature 3 families, Josh Herrin's, Tommy Aquino's and Austin DeHaven's. It is a good article about the time spent bonding, and the personal sacrifices made by the parents to help give their kids a shot at their dream.
