Give them a call.

They can also help with the re-valving or even going to AK-20 cartridges if you want to go that route (I'd recommend it but it is a BIG $$)

They have done Higbee's forks - so they really DO understand the racing 1125R suspension, not JUST the XBs and Tubers.

0.990kg is the stock spring rate according to Racetech.

Dan at Traxxion thought the stock spring rate was closer to something like 0.86 for the '08 1125R. This explains a lot for me. So I ordered the recommended 1.1 springs. He also told me that they would work with me on getting the rate right. In other words I can exchange them till we get it right.

He also told me about the included instructions. Hope this puts more feel in the front end.

I will upgrade to the AK-20 cartridge but right now there's too many other wants.

Harlan, I don't have an answer for that. But doesn't that .99 figure come from Race Tech? I'm suspicious of that .99 value. Anybody know what Buell says?

Excerpt from Catalyst Reaction (Dave Moss) and their Triumph 675 race bike project--NOTHING TO DO WITH THE 1125R:

The stock fork spring is a .95kg - very stiff and very track oriented. This rate will work for someone around 180-210lbs or a very aggressive braker who is a little lighter. We changed the springs to .90kg as this was the set up for the 2004 600. After a couple of races, we are going to change back to the .95kg spring as the bike is sitting too low in the forks overall with too much weight on the front of the bike.

Dan did say that Buells do have less rake than other bikes which makes them want a little more spring. I won't have a chance to try the 1.1's for another 4 weeks and 5 days (the next trackday I can get to). I'll let you know what I learn.

And again nothing to do with the 1125R, but weren't the S1 Race Springs .95kg?

I've got 1.0kg springs in my M2. I am a little over optimal race weight (212lbs : D ).
