Ruthless Racing tested a new set of race bodywork with rider Steve Crevier at rounds #3 and #4 at Mosport, in the Parts Canada Superbike Nationals where he finished 8th and 9th. Down 40HP plus Steve rode hard to keep up with the 185HP Superbikes. with this new bodywork design the bike did not over heat, and kept 80-85 ... [redacted]

Olivier:

You might want to contact Blake about sponsorship if they decide to sell this. I realize that they are not for sale yet, but it'd be good to be prepared.

Badweb, I'm betting, would love to have you as a sponsor.

Oops! Didn't mean to remove the images, just the advertising text. Sorry about that Olivier. Nice looking bodywork you have there.

What does "kept 80-85" mean?

And what all is on the forks under the lower triple-tree?

80 to 85 degrees celsius = approximately 175 to 185 degrees F. It looks like Attack Performance triple clamps have been added as well as an air foil/deflector mod to the fender to go along with the modded pods, interesting.

Looks great! Is it compatible with the stock upper fairing, as well as stock radiators and pucks?

The front fender also appears to have a brake cooling duct as well as a hump to help direct air to the ducts.

This bodywork is made by Flexi-Glass in Canada.

I am his official importer of Buell bodywork into the US. I usually get new stuff every month or so.

If anyone is interested I can bring the 1125R stuff in with my next order. Can probably work a bulk deal if several people get together and order at once.

This design is based on using the stock Rads, the upper fairing is the same as a stock one, but no headlight holes. we are testing it again next weekend for the next Superbike round. And yes its Flexi-glass bodywork

Hi Jason, I tried to reply to your link but was unable so he's my response to the questions listed.

Ok I'll try to answer all the questions regarding the new 1125 bodywork. The nose cone is exactly the same as stock with the headlight holes filled in for race purpose, tail is the same as stock and the undertail is the same but we streamlined it so it has a flat underside and two mounting points where your stock tail lights would normally mount. The sides without ram air replace the outer stock pods and give it the full bodywork look, the ram air sides are shaped a little different and work like this, you use your stock rads, you remove the fan and all the brackets and thats where you get the 15 pound savings from, the inside of the ram air sides hold one side of the rad and the inside scoop sandwiches the rad and holds it there, the scoop is a double sided piece that rams the air through the rad and exits it out the side. The first time the ruthless racing team tried it the bike ran 20 degress cooler than the bike without the ram air system, so much so they had to remap the fuel system for the change in temp. The fin in the middle of the exit vent is just a r&d deal as we'er playing with the deflection angles so its different every time they go out. The ones we are releasing don't have the fins. To install the ram air system you need no extra parts at all, after removing all the brackets and fans remove the lower rad hose slip in the inside scoop mount it to your stock mounts and by the way everything uses your stock mounts. Re attach your rad hose and put on the ram air side. The belly has changed since the pic was taken and we refit it to the sarron pipe, the third pipe this season so things are really on a ongoing r&d program as only the buell factory and the canadian buell race team have them at the present moment.I wanted to get things a little more r&d'd before we let them go but with the cooling difference we have been a little busy with requests. The tank is the same as stock, the team complained the brakes were getting hot towards the end of the race so we applied a side vent to direct air to the caliper, the lip on the top of thge fender is to direct more air towards the air intake up under the triple tree's. The ram air system consists of a left and right side at 300 each and you need a left and a right inside scoop to complete the system for a total of 1100.00 its for race application only you wouldn't need the system for street use or track days. The price reflects its still a r&d ongoing program. We also make a seat pan that replaces your stock seat for that superbike feel of a hard seat that you put your own foam on. I'll get more pics on our site as we finalize production versions
thanks
trev

Nice!

I like that front fender with the cooling vent. But has it been that necessary?

Does anyone make XB bodywork with ram air?
