Court,do we have anyone that is familiar with drumming up sponsors?I am hoping to try and get a couple of helmets as both mine and James' are not the new Snell 2000 rated, and if he keeps growing he'll need some leathers.Boots and gloves would be nice, too.I could use some tutoring in how to go about this.Or if anyone here has connections to point me to,that would work. Thanks, Jim H. |

Yes, we do. Drop me a note and let me know when a good time to call, like Friday, would be and we'll get you fixed up. |

Well after another couple of hours of fiddling and running my head into brick wall, finally started getting sorted out.Boost was coming on and fuel feed seemed good, bike was wanting to jump off dyno, but could not get a good full throttle pull.It kept going lean, even with sewer pipe main jet. After talking to those that know better we are going to try another carb(a CV) and go at it again.Until then---- |

CV carb is on and running.Discovered former user took out boost limit screw and I was seeing too much boost for the system(16+lbs.)Installed a screw and boost is now about 12 lbs--still a little much for my particular application,so I need to be able to dial more out.CV runs better, but still have some transition problems, supposed to be caused by boost slamming open the slide.Gonna fiddle more with that and head back to dyno.Fingers crossed----.Got word from USFRA that new rulebooks are on the way.And my Turbo Seca 650 is up and running pretty well.Putting in fork seals and brake pads, then we'll go for a ride. |

OK,people,we're starting to rock and roll.I had Brian Nallin here at Vallejo Buell yesterday. After tuning and tinkering for about 5-6 hours,we pulled 156rwhp and 127ft-lbs at 6600 rpm, definitely more there, just did not want to stress bike too much.Still a little fat,so I will change jet and needle setting again.Probably 160+ easy.Yeeha!!!!! I cannot say enough about all the support I have gotten from my dealer.Terry Parsley had the dyno booked for me all day,and to have Brian there was just way over the top.Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! |

Jim, Very cool. Did you get a dyno sheet? What compression and cams are you using? |

Jim, Congrats. As you know, the support you're getting is incredible (Brian/Vallejo Buell). How does this compare to last years setup? -JW:> |

Pete,I am running the exact same engine as last year.Just added Aerocharger. Its really all wrong for turbo--too much cam and compression,Red Shift 585 and 10.5 to 1--but its all I can do for now.And about 40 more HP than last year sould get me moving.I will post sheet when I get it from Vallejo. It has a reversion problem (probably my cams)at 4-5000 and then takes off like a rocket. The curve climbs very fast and was still going up when Brian let off at 6600. Jim,I cannot say enough about the support I am getting.Vallejo has been unreal,(Jim, every single person that works at this dealership from the owner down to all the HD mechanics are ,without fail, genuinely nice people and very interested in the bike's progress--how unusual is that?)and for Brian to come and spend the day with Terry and I was so cool!!!!!! |

Well,I don't know about y'all(praticing looziana speak)but I think we should start chiming in with a who's who of those coming to Bonneville in September.130 club,150 club, record runs, helpers, spectators, etal.I can't believe after all the furor on this site after last year, that there is so little activity/excitement here.I don't know about all y'all but I am Freaking JAZZED!!!!!!! |

I'm planning on being there. Unless Peter and Rocket back out. It's still too far off for us non-participants to be getting too excited. It seems that most contestants are keeping their plans close to their chest this year. Rest assured that big things are fixin to bust loose at Bonneville this year, and I'm not talking about the jalapenos and refried beans I'll be toting. |

>>>>Rest assured that big things are fixin to bust loose at Bonneville this year That's a very accurate statement. Don't mistake lack of volume for small amplifier size, think of wearing headphones. In addition, I talked to Henrik yesterday and the moment his 3-1/2 months of vacation (yesterday was his June "day in the office" ) are over we'll have 2003 info on the website. Still waiting to hear about work. There is a chance that we will be touring in India around then, but it is not set in concrete yet. They hope to know one way or the other by the end of next week. Ingrid has stopped shooting bullets out her eyes when I mention it, so that's a good sign |

Count me in I'm Stoked. Aaron & Brian should be done with the motor soon and then it's just fabbing fairing mounts and clean-up work. I'm ready to get there and accomplish something with this last 15 months of work. Will be bringing my youngest daughter for a pit crew along with mom and dad for serious moral support. This is going to be great fun!!! Ray |

I will be there with bells on. Pete you had better make it I dont know if I could handel any reverse trailer wiring if needed. Is there any chance of Grizzly making it?? we might need a good pot stirrer. Jim you are not the only one excited you just can't hear me 14,000 miles away. Looking forward to seeing the old faces again and appears we will have some new ones as well. |
