"Bombshell: Corser Leaves Suzuki For Yamaha?!
by dean adams

It's still far from confirmed, but multiple sources the world over are reporting that former WSBK champion Troy Corser has signed with Yamaha for next season, ousting Andrew Pitt. Corser, still a force in WSBK racing no matter what the championship standings read, is certainly among the two best riders in the series today. Him leaving Suzuki is bombshell material.

Of course, the launch pad in all of this is a rider who has yet to make one single lap in WSBK racing: Max Biaggi. Biaggi, finally ousted from Grand Prix after a season on the factory HRC team, recently signed with Corser's said to be former team, Alstare Suzuki, for 2007. Two things are well known about Biaggi: he's very, very fast; and he's not a fan of having teammates.

Corser was lackadaisical in the pre-season about the chilling effects of Biaggi joining Alstare, but now he's left Alstare and one can only speculate as to how much having Biaggi as a teammate influenced his decision."

How long do you think it will take before Biaggi pisses everyone off in WSBK? He may have to take up go cart racing before too long.
