They will break ground now in early 2007 due to two factors: One FAA release of the land (part of the property used to belong to an airport) and what's being called an 'munition search'. The latter being a check for un-expended rounds since the land was once used as a range/test facility by the military. According to press/Robert DeFalco (Dir. Motorsports activities) they hope to have their first full season of events start in early 2008. The delays are all on the Federal/State side while they await those two final actions to be completed. So there is still hope!
