"I know it takes a while to dial in new components, even relatively minor ones, as they all must play together well, especially at this level of competition."

"So maybe we shouldn't be stressing how "new" the bike is...never know who might be listening. "

I see your point but you'd do well to remember the difference between a street bike and a race bike... It's a new race bike based off of that first quote. A lot of stuff has changed. As far as being quiet about it... It's legal in the AMA. Nothing else matters. If Erion would like to protest anything on the grounds of some saying the word "new" then he's playing a semantics game because he fully understand the difference between a "new" race bike and a "new" street bike.

I can see that with all of the cheerleaders out there that we need to get organized for VIR and the remaining races where the XBRR will be competing (if any). So, let's all get together at VIR and then we will go to Yammy Haul and Erion Honda pits in mass and give them some of the ol' Buell spirit!

I have composed some Buell cheers and will print them out for you guys to study, but I will also have some copies at the races for you guys who just hate to memorize but still want to participate. Feeling that extra Buell spirit, make up some of your own and bring 'em to the track! If any of you guys know gymnastics, please let us know before so we can work in a tumbling run or three. Remember, we will be on blacktop and gravel so bring your gloves. Go, fight, win Buell!

But before you begin, remember these basic tips on cheering:

Don't sing your cheers
Be loud and lower the tone of your voice a level (a deeper voice carries further)
Learn to yell from your diaphragm, not your throat
Make your motions sharp and snappy
Smile and have fun!

First cheer:

The BUELL team is here to say hello.
We've got that beat (stomp), so take a seat and help us start our show.
We're cruisin' for a victory, we're moving to the top.
The BUELL team (stomp) cannot be stopped (double stomp).

Next cheer:

The BUELL team is red hot (stomp)!
Let's show 'em what we got (stomp)!
We got the spirit,
C'mon let's hear it
B XXXX U XXXX E XXXX L XXXX L XXXX
BUELL (stomp)!
LETS GO (double stomp...throw the little guy with a 1" member into the air)!!

Do we rock (stomp)?
Yeah, Yeah
Take it to the top (stomp)?
Yeah, Yeah
Are we gonna stop?
No way!
Go Buell (double stomp...catch the guy with the 1" member...opps, ya' gotta be faster than that!)

Next cheer:

You may be good at Dragracing
You may think your good on the Track
But when it comes to Roadracing
You better watch your Back
Buells Attack!
(Stomp, Clap, Stomp Stomp, Clap, Stomp Stomp, Clap Clap, Stomp Stomp, Clap)
Repeat Once
Repeat Cheer and Stomp and Clap

Next cheer:

Who let the Buells out!? (stomp...stomp stomp)
Who let the Buells out!? (stomp clap stomp)
Who Let them Buells out!? (stomp...stomp stomp)
(At the last part, you say the "Who" like you're barking like a dog!===>
Who!? Who!? Who!?

Next cheer:

Go BACK! (stomp) Go BACK! (stomp) Go BACK to the woods! (double stomp) You pit boss is a farmer and your rider ain't no good.(stomp clap stomp)

Throw the guy with the 2" member in the air and catch him before the second bounce this time!

Next cheer:

(Guys with the 1" and 2" members out front cheering each other on for this one!)

Say check it out, say what?
Say check it out, say what?
Say check it out
Say check it out
Say check it out, say what?
Buell is our name
And roadracing is our game
We've got winnin' on our mind
And whoo, we're mighty fine!
(Have a naysayer swallow a bitter pill and act hallow and pathetic while the guys with the 1" and 2" members cheer him on! Stomp on the naysayer's head!)

Regarding what to wear, please wear your WARR'S Buell Racing t-shirts and shorts (not too tight there, we don't want them to see your Joe Camel!). Don't have a WARR's t-shirt...too bad! At least wear something with Buell on it, or tape a sign with Buell hand-scrawled on a minimum 4" x 5" index card on your chest.

Note for the little guys: Leave your members securely wrapped, until it is your TIME during one of the cheers. For you guys who are, er ah, gifted with man boobs, please wear a sports bra...we don't want any injuries out there in front of the enemy. Safety first!

M1 sez:

I haven't forgotten the difference between a street bike and a race bike, but the examples I gave to Blake were where the parts were the same or slightly modified (for a chain drive, for instance). These include the frame, front wheel, ZTL and swingarm. The other instances were for parts that have been tested and implemented on Hals and Rich Cronwrath's race bikes in previous years. I am not aware of anything that has changed, except for McWilliams trying out a 16.5 wheel. Has Crevier or Hale used this size wheel?

If Erion was going to protest, he already would have. Buells are no threat to his bikes to date and he has other things to do, I guess. By being judicious with the "new bike" terminology, I mean in the court of public opinion more than the AMA front office.

Not bad but not too pithy either. I think that there is a reason that the presidential primaries start in NH.

Sorry, Jimidan, I didn't know this was "The O'Reilly Factor"! I will bone up on my pithiness over the weekend....

"OK. so it has been a slow, rainy day..what can i say?"

Dude. LOL!

You forgot about the 16.5" wheels/tires. New this year as of last couple races. : )

And again, Nicky Hayden and HRC can refer to their 2006 incarnation of the RC211V as their "new bike", because it is. So is the XBRR for all the teams racing it this year, even Hal's.

Always big Kudos to Hal's and Kosko H-D/Buell for all the ground breaking development and success they were able to contribute to the towards the current Buell FX and other XBRR efforts. But the XBRR is a new racing machine compared to what they were running. : )

The reality check is that all the special parts on Hal's and Kosko's came from (guess who) And they were allowed to take ownership of these parts and sell replicas by (guess who) to help fund their racing, as well as cash and prizes.

Harley money will be part of the XBRR racing effort in indirect but very important ways. The big twins have all moved to 6 speed transmissions, so will the sportster/buells. Only Harley kind of money can fund that retooling effort. Should be next year or two. Harley was stunned by the dramatic change in demand for the 07s versus 06 models.

Buell and XBRR will definitely benefit from 6 speeds. The other huge benefit will come from the change at Harley to EFI on the sportster line. EFI has a steep learning curve and all those sportsters will generate help for Buell as a byproduct.

Biggest improvement will be when dealers start racign their own XB's and customers start traveling and spending money on friends racing efforts. The snowball is heading downhill for road racing in america and Buell/Harley will be a huge part of future growth. Way too much Kool-Aid today for me.

And I **think** that some folks might even have claimed a bit of credit for development work done by (guess who).

The Buell folks are hard at work.

Prepare to be amazed.

Looks like Buell may have some more competition concerning McWilliams possible 2007 employment.

From crash.net (above link)

This is, however, entirely paddock conjecture at this moment and Illien has made no comment about British riders.

I've also heard on the internet that Jeremy is also rumored to be testing the (rumored) BMW MotoGP bike - and who knows what else.

I doubt he's sitting still between rides for Warr's.

(I love rumors)
