Shawn finished 22nd and was the first XBRR to score points in a AMA National. We were so pumped and for the entire H-D Buell / VPS Team I want to thank all of you that cheered is on and wished us good luck. ... Thanks Again Terry

It's a learning process. I'm glad to see at least one RR finish the race. Good job, and keep up the hard work.

Way to go, Vallejo! Getting a new bike with only one day to practice was one tough job. You guys did great, and I'm sure you will have lots more success as you dial in the bike for Sean. He is a big guy, and I'm sure the stock suspension set uo was considerably off.

Too bad about Jeremy, but electrical gremlins happen. He sure was moving up through the field, pretty cool also for a guy who had never seen the track before. I was watching on the AMA Superbike site, and his fastest laps were in the race, not in qualifying. Still learning the bike and track fo sure.

Damn; I wish I could have been there. For that matter, I wish I could afford to make it to Road America.
Go get 'em, guys; we're all pulling for you!

Congrats Terry and Sean! This is a step forward for the XBRR program.

Rico got the first win, but Sean got the first AMA national points on the RR.

With news of more XBRR's at Road America I'm more excited than ever about homecoming!

Terry, thanks for the updates. Remember ASBN on June 5th. It is british bike night, but we have reserved some time for you to talk racing.

You had mentioned that your rider was faster on your dealership race bike. How many seconds faster? thoughts as to why? just the set up?

Jimi,

You're spot on. Shawn's about 6'1" and 210 lbs, considerably larger than Jeremy. This did cause an issue with both the suspension and the XBRR tail section. It looks ot me like the tail section was designed to flow off a rider's feet and the ideal foot size would be about a 9. Shawn is a size 11, so we put a standard Buell race tail on to allow him to get his feet up on the pegs.

All in all, it was a really great day. Heny Duga provided hands on support to the Vallejo team and I can't say enough good things about Jeremy.

Congrats Terry and your team! Too bad about Jeremy's electrical problem...that's got to frustrate.

Rex is right, Terry. We'd love to give you the floor in June and ASBN.

you don't realise just how WIDE that fairing is until you see it in comparison to other bikes!

That first picture looks like he has just 'done' 481 into the turn ;)

I guess I didn't see a ton of humor in it...

I think they were trying though... I got that much.

I think Superbike Planet is great. I'm not going to let my love of ANY brand bike spoil how much I enjoy it. I think Mr. Adams has a good sense of humor no matter who it's pointed at. Everyone laughed at the Vance&Hines NHRA VROD at first....

Whatever you think of their "humor", Superbikeplanet had this really nice shot of McWilliams:

Can someone clear something up for me. There is an FX race on speed channel tomorrow (Tuesday) at 5:00. Is this a new race or is it a rebroadcast of something. Is McWilliams in it?

Yes, McWilliams is in that race. It is a first time airing of the race from this past weekend (tape delayed 2 days). Happy viewing.

I agree, I was laughing my ass off. This reminds me way too much of the VR1000 abortion.

If you make your race program high profile, then immediately DNF, you will be mocked, period. You have to come back and make up for it, then you will be justified and the jabbing will turn to complements. That is how the world works. There is no anti-Buell conspiracy.

Superbikeplanet has no problem bagging on uncompetitive Japanese bikes too, you guys just seem to ignore that.

Sorry, Spatten and Cubby, I don't buy into it, nor would anyone else who reads that site regularly. By the way, Mr. Adams was very sweet to the VR1000. And it's results were significantly worse with lots more money and profile. Search on Stupidbiker for anything positive on Buell ever, and you won't find it. I follow racing a lot, and there is no precedent with any other company for the way they treat Buell. It's a shame that Adams obviously has a personal vendetta against Buell, but it's very true.

How could the VR1000 results be worse than 100% DNFs in the first race? Did it die after less laps?

Because the VR1000's results were poor throughout its career, the V&H v-rod made a nice comeback after a bad start.

The Buell story on Soup just isn't funny. It's got one jab about weeding out japanese parts, and a "no it wasn't leading" comment. I supposed that could pull a chuckle out of someone who really didn't want Buell to win, but it's generally just not good humor.

What does the V&H v-rod have to do with Buell? The V-rod has a liquid cooled 4-valver engine.
