We have been! Faster and faster but fewer and fewer.

Faster and fewer records kind of go hand in hand, because this stuff gets harder as you set higher goals. You have to reduce the number of goals so that you can apply more focus on each. It still gets harder though. But what the hell, if you shrink from the challenge you're guaranteed not to succeed, all you can do is try.

More participation on the team is key IMO, broaden the effort to increase our chances of a team success as each of us delves into more and more difficult challenges. Hopefully next year Ray and Rocky will get a chance to compete, and maybe we can add a few more.

Hello everyone,

It's been said and I'll say it again, nice to meet some new folks. I have to say just catching up with all the postings today is making my eyes blur and not exactly helping me get to my work.

Good time had here and we should definitely try and do this again!

Hey Grape, I agree we gotta do it more often. This is a very active board at times, but you never get bored here.

Was good to see ya Friday, we'll have to get together sometime before next spring !!

I think Grape has a great idea. I know a lot of us have felt the same as a result of the Team Elves Event.

To take it a step further, why don't we lean on our respective BRAG Leaders to coordinate a few Multi-Club gatherings per year.

I trust with all the great minds we have in this combined group we can come up with some fantastic ideas that will make it both fun and easy to get together.

Give it some thought and let's discuss it on this thread.

Nev

DaveS has posted his chapter's activities all around, and they include some Multi-chapter events . . . . I'll be doing the same thing next week . . .. .

but (uh, oh, you think, here it comes, and you'd be right, by golly) we are all leaders should we choose to be . . .. . .

I'm sure all chapter leaders would flat out LOVE some input, ideas, and help

Just to toss some ideas on the table, we can look at planning some multi-club festivities around the Buell Anniversary, Harley 100th, track days, Battletrax events and other things we are already involved in.

Additionally, we could plan for special events like a picnic, camping and/or motel weekend at some kick back destination regardless of season. The events might even be structured to provide family style activities so those with children will be encouraged to come.

I attended Hal's KMC HOG Family Picnic this last summer and was absolutely amazed at how well they conducted the event. No one was left out and all had a great time. No shame in riding or driving. It is all for a good time.

For what it's worth...

A few key words to sum up my first time... in Wisconsin. :)

Buell Factory, too cool!

Flags flying at night, proudly lit.

Leslie? still working at 9pm? :)

Always invite FMJ to join late night bull sessions. FMJ brings beer and has endless tales of adventure and intrigue. :D

It takes more than a stinkin' kidney stone to stop an Elf.

Hangin' out with Richard will make you want to kick ass and go fast.

Erik is all go and little show, just like his bikes. He embodies integrity and good will.

The Buell employees are a great bunch. Having met some of them, I'm proud to own a product of their efforts. Hey Tony! Hey Hammer!

Production is currently at 60 bikes a day. With 250 work days that could get us as many as 15,000 bikes/year; over 80% of those being Buell twins.

Current factory will support without expansion, significantly greater capacity.

Current factory is easily expanded.

Current XB9 production is split 60/40 XB9S/XB9R.

Buell's production/sales goals are for continuous and steady growth. Prices are set accordingly.

Sales are on target.

Kaizen works at Buell.

Modular assembly works at Buell.

State of the art assembly line methods/equipment work at Buell.

At Buell, they ride new bikes while standing still.

Buell Motorcycle Company is...

Sport biking in it's purest form.

About 200 people including ~50 engineers, a racing support group and the guy whose name is plastered in big bold letters on each bike they produce, all working hard to make Buell's the best sport bikes in the world.

Two hundred or so people engaged in conceptualization, research and development, design, engineering, analysis, assembly, testing, inspection, and marketing of American sporting motorcycles.

A very serious and success oriented business endeavor not to be underestimated.

A great place to work.

A proud American company.

Happy to be a growing part of the HDI family.

Working hard to satisfy loyal customers past, present, and future.

More later... :)

Bomber,
Who else can we get involved? Waterloo is the only BRAG club in the state of Iowa. Jason, that came to the Elves meeting with us is going to start one in Des Moines and we'll get them involved too.

Ride to the edge!

though I'm not an officer (phew), I can get Uke's involved, and, since I hold dual citizenship in the WIndy City Chapter, I can spread the word down there as well . . .. .

Mennis and Nevco are both out of Brew City, and can easily swayed to commit felonies, ehem, we can drag them into it . .. .

Lake Shore has no chapter, neither does, I think Keigels (sp? Rockford) . .. . I seem to remember a dealership in Galena? closer to you guys than to us, I think . . .you know anything about them?
