Sold the Uly last year. Too cramped for my old knee's. Riding was fine but unfurling the legs when I stopped was truly painful. I got a 17 Harley Fat Bob which is fun to ride (with the new rear shocks). DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A HARLEY FORUM LIKE THIS ONE? I've found such useful information here over the years and there is just so much b/s on the Harley sites. It seems impossible to find answers to what I think are basic questions. Much easier to find a sales pitch than useful information.

I've gone over to HDForums for help and to give help. v-twinforum is another. I've got a 2002 Road Glide and a Uly so if you have a question I might be able to help.

my old uly get started up just frequently enough make sure it turns over, and is only ridden in the spring and fall anyways...but until the tires are replaced even that's not happening.

Well, just means I can do longer trips on the FJR, I guess.

That is the problem with brand loyalty. Everybody has opinions based more on hype than a solid understanding of engineering.

Telling me how white my shirts can be, but he can't be a man cause he doesn't smoke the same cigarettes as me...you know the rest.
