Low-beam or turn signals sometimes stop working. Turning off the key and then back on has so far always cleared the problem. Anyone care to venture a guess what is going on? I have my own suspicion, but want to hear other opinions.

Or broken wires by the steering head.
'06 was really susceptible to wire harness damage in the steering head area.

There are 2 cold solder joints just above the guide in the main loom on left front. 1 multi joint is tan wires for turn signals. Another multi joint is red power wires. Can be difficult to find wire broken inside of its insulated covering.best to cut out joint and redo with short extension. I have some pics if u need, pinpointing location.
Start with redo of the ground bundle as that is very simple.
