You might want to consider some quality nuts, bolts, washers and rubber bushings. A lot cheaper and how often do you really take off the windscreen?

Personally, I rip mine off on the highway usually if I'm on a long trip.
Mine is getting a bit floppy but it hasn't become too easy to rip it off yet.

use plumbing faucet washers. You can thin them by rubbing them for awhile on sandpaper. I just use them the way they come.

Use small o-rings on the screws. They'd flatten out and not even be seen but do the trick.
