At this point, the oil cooler guard and front center guard are optional, I'll have to come up with the dimensions once it's on the bike to see what I need. If anyone has the lower tray mount and the left front bracket, let me know. Pics would help so I can see what the original looked like. Otherwise I have to just wing it.

That is a perfect copy, I was thinking maybe a dimple die on the holes might make it more ridged. Just my $.02

It's definitely not a perfect copy. Holes are oval and slanted instead of just round. Also some minor changes to the back end.

Dean, here are some pictures that might help - https://www.flickr.com/photos/victor9098/albums/72 157622253498764

Also a picture of it with the oil cooler guard -

Very interesting, I'm in too !

May be you could had fixture in the front to avoid stress on the lateral screws ...
The original design could be improved.

Stupid question, could the stock chin fairing still fit with this on?

No, unfortunately not. Pretty certain the spacing would be incorrect for it with the skid plate installed.

I'll be looking into doing the other small pieces (center rock guard and oil filter guard) next week. One thing I haven't been able to determine is, what the forward clutch cover hole is for. From the pics I've seen, it's not bolted to anything, although I *have* seen another piece of metal that's bolted in place and goes back to the rear mount point. It serves no functional purpose that I can see, so it may get eliminated for the actual production run. Anyone else have one on the bike or possibly the instructions to it?

Anyone that has not placed an order, you may want to do so soon. I will only be doing one run of these for now and it's on a pre-order basis only.

Center rock guard will be optional, still needs some additional work. The template hits the oil cooler line, so it will not work as it is.

I just figured out what they did for the center guard. It's spaced forward at the top mount points, that's why mine is hitting. Missed that from the low res pics earlier and should be easy enough to fix.

Great work! Now it's looking complete. I was a little concerned about a hard hit putting too much stress on the mounting bolts or worse, the exhaust flanges. How much do you think the complete kit will cost?

I also want the oil filter guard and center guard, it will make up for the lack of chin spoiler : )

I'm in for those two as well.

Are you going to cut out a bit, or drill some holes in the addt'l guards?

As of right now, it will only be the skid plate (as advertised via the website) and the other 2 pieces will be optional once I get the mounting of them sorted out. The estimate from the machine shop for the center and oil filter guard is another $50, so once it's all sorted out, I'll have them available.

I'll make it as a complete kit, as well as the optional pieces separately for guys that already ordered. The main skid plate comes with the band clamp for the back and the mounting bracket that goes with it. I will not be including the stock T-27 torx screws that were used for the chin fairing. I'm assuming if you had the chin fairing still mounted, you have the remaining hardware already.

The optional pieces will have cutouts on them, the prototype parts were just cut for fitment only, so no extra machining (waterjet) cut time. I'll also experiment with different color options, but most of them will be in 80% gloss black. One will be flat black and one will have a textured finish.

Parts are cut & welded, off to the powder coat shop next week. Still investigating/working on the optional parts.

So the main part is done, back from being powder coated and looks pretty nice. I had some minor assembly work to do on the rear mounting point, that's done now as well. The only thing I'm not currently supplying is the stock torx screws. There are 5 main ones not counting the front pair, this setup will use the same amount of 1/4-20 screws anyway, so just put your old ones back on this. 2 of them will be used on the bottom bracket. I know it's not ideal (torx screw, potentially muddy use?) but it should work just fine.

I'm debating on mounting one on mine just for pics. If I do, it will not be a gloss black one, I had a couple of "extras" done in a different coat to see what they'd look like. I may post pics later if I put it on the bike.

Pic for reference on the gloss black version.

Ok, these are in process as of earlier this week. I am going to go out on a limb here and say they'll probably be done and ready to ship by just after the 4th of July. Go Merica!
The machine shop gave me a 2 week lead time at the beginning of the week, I'm trusting that the powder coater will get his end of it done in time, that will be the only real delay.
I will have a couple of spares, if you haven't ordered one, this will be it for a while. Message me or order it direct if you want one.

These are the item in question, they're well built 1/8" thick aluminum plate, welded and come with everything except the stock mounting screws for the chin fairing.
I would NOT recommend mounting it to an aftermarket hanger (like the chin fairing brackets I sell) due to not actually testing it for that application. It may look fine, but structurally I don't think it will work as intended.

Also, this is the shipped price IN THE US only. Message me about shipping anywhere else, I can send back a shipped quote to the EU or Australia, where ever it is you want one to go. Just to be upfront about the shipping costs, since my website doesn't charge shipping, I have about a $30 ship factor built into the cost of these units. Get me your actual shipping address and I can invoice you the difference for shipping via PayPal. It will be sent separately, but will have to be paid prior to shipping out the unit.
