Check closely the two connectors on the ECM, your symptoms are common if your ECM is damaged by the seat.

Check bas sensor and with spy, disable if you can. See if problem persists. We're you completely vertical when bike died?

I'm with the Sage one. Was your BAS sensor moved as per recall? It should have been moved to the rear of the bike next to the 12V output under the seat. Like Sagehawk said, use ecmspy to disable it and see if that helps.

How far out were your ecm connectors? Clips are on these to keep connection secure, right? Anyhow, if pushed in and bike doesnt die, your much further ahead than what you were thinking. Now, to determine what part of what is working the connector.

Was out on bike today rode around 45 minutes all seemed fine was idling at stop and it died , tried to restart just cranked, ECM connectors plugged in all way till clips locked wiggled sockets on ECM it started jiggled sockets and it died , got it to start got home and tried jiggling ECM socket but bike still ran ,you can see slight separation of socket from plastic sealant and ECM housing if you jiggle it

Your ECM is cracked. Fairly common. Time for a new one and a relocation. Do a search for 'ecm relocation' and find tons of info on the topic. Good luck.
