JT&S did their good deed for the week. Paul Long, a Buell rider coming from Idaho limped in with a bad exhaust noise. Upon inspection we found he had lost the front muffler mounting bolt which in turn stressed the flange studs. The upper rear stud was broken, the lower nut was MIA, and the two front flange nuts were loose. And ,of course, the rear upper is the worst to get to. Lowered the engine and got in there with left handed bits with no luck, and easy out did not budge it. We were saved by good friend,Frank Velasco, who had a suitably long drill bit and matching thread insert kit. Problem solved, bike together, and Paul is on his way!! And as he is a fellow Bueller and an ex-marine we gave him the super special discount!

Great that you were able to help him out. Hope he realizes how lucky he got.

We consider ourselves former marines or once a marine, always a marine. The term ex-marine is improper.
