Just an FYI...Rocky Mountain ATV/MC is running a special on Continental TKC80 tires. The lowest I have seen the 180/55 rear prior to now is $230...it is currently priced at $167. Likewise, the front 120/70 is $100 which is about $20 less than normal.

I opted for the slightly taller and slightly narrower 170/60 rear which is priced even lower at $146.

Thanks for the heads up...I have not heard of that tire supplier before. Looks like they have some good deals and free shipping.

I got the front tire mounted this morning...working on the back now.

On a related note, does anyone know the part number for the brake caliper mounting bolts (Grade 8, 3/8-16 x 1in long)? One of mine is partially stripped because I didn't have the allen socket completely seated in the sockethead bolt. I was able to get it removed, but I don't want to reinstall it. All the local hardware supplier has in stock is some grade 3 hardware in that size/form factor.

That looks dirty! Id be interested in knowing what kind of mileage you get out of them, as im looking at those as my next tire. I hear only 3k out of a rear...

I've read 4-5k miles...but time will tell. I had these tires on my DR650 and got 4.5k out of the rear and almost 7k out of the front. The Uly is heavier, but the tire is also wider, so maybe I'll get the same.

On the bright side, they inspire a lot more confidence on dirt roads than the scorpion syncs that were on it.

I also own 4 motorcycles and try to split my time up equally between them, so it takes me a while to track up 4k miles.

Those tires do look fun! I find myself far enough from civilization, even with street tires. I would get myself in trouble with those tires.
