So I have been having so much fun on the Uly that I took a 500 mile ride today to see my brother just to say hi : ). But my right hand did get tired after about 350 miles, so which throttle lock do you fell nutcases recommend?

Throttlemeister is excellent but you can't use the OEM handguards with it.

Yes you can use the Throttlrmaster with the stock hand guards, I have the exact setup on my 09 Uly since it was new in Jan 09, you just have to use a teeny bit of redneck engineering & it is simple.

this device is almost too perfect to believe, cost about 20 bucks.. it slips back when you throttle down, then push back up with a finger to hold throttle at cruise.

I settled on the Kaoko unit. Pricey but fits with the handguards and works quite well. I found that the Go Cruise unit was very nicely made, but took up too much handgrip width for me. I also tried a Throttle Rocker and found that I would pretty regularly unexpectedly blip the throttle.

I bought a Kaoko unit last year. Not bad but ditched it for something similar to Fotoguzzi's setup this summer. It really does work very well - it moves your hand to the right a little which I find a somewhat tiring around town but it is so easy to remove if you don't want to use it.

Look at Vista Cruise. Use the Yamaha version.
Cheap, works well.

+1 on the Vista Cruise, don't recall which version I used but I have it on both my bikes, minor modification required.

I use a lock from 2WheelRide.com that is very similar to the one Fotoguzzi shows above. Made of metal and works like a charm. Inexpensive and very good. : ) Not as nice as a genuine cruise control but very nice.

Vista Cruise (Yamaha edition) like this: http://www.amazon.com/Sound-Off-Recreational-Vista -Cruise/dp/B002OMTRUG

(I used the link for illustration purposes only)

I shaved off the two tabs and attached it to the right controls/switch pod with a small hole and set screw so that the head of the screw wouldn't screw with the throttle twist. It sits neatly between the grip/throttle and the right thumb switches with no interference. If its not clear, my method does require you to drill a small hole in the cruise control and the switch pod. The small set screw doesn't intrude too far in to the switch pod, maybe 1/16" at the most.

If you order the OEM pod from American Sport Bike with grip heater switch ( http://americansportbike.com/newdir/Item/17301 ) and throw in the grip heaters, assuming you don't already have them from the factory or a benevolent P.O., you can kill two birds with one stone and add cruise AND heated palms.

Wish I had taken better (or some!) pictures when I did this.
