2 questions, is it true the 2010 headlight unit is significantly better than the earlier ones?

Also I want to go back to the low seat my 08 came with. Was the 2006 low seat more comfortable and if so, is it still available?

The '06 low seat was and accessory item, it had a cut down seat area that had a gel pad to replace the foam that was removed. What I did not like about the low seat was the now lower base of the seat area became noticeably wider. They have the same seat pan.

The gel seems to get hard as the miles go on. That may be from not having the larger amount of room to move around on. I rode many days over 350 miles on the tall seat with no problem, at that point my air hawk would come out. The gel seat usually made it to 150 miles or so.

I lost part of the lower reach to the ground because the base was wider causing my legs to have to reach out to the side more.

I just installed a "world" headlight (Y0721.6AC) and it seems to be a big improvement over what my 06 came with.
Low beam is a big, round ball of light in front of the bike, the high beam goes down the road quite a bit.

The 10 bikes headlight is slightly better but using HID or LED lamps is MUCH better as is the "both on" headlight mod. The Uly uses the common plastic build of all modern bikes and as such is just average. Also not a projector system. If you need a really GOOD head light system then invest in a aftermarket auxiliary system.

I found the 06 bikes low seat with the gel pad hard and not comfy. My 10 bikes low seat is comfy but it takes a few miles to break it in. I would say it is the best of the four versions made.

It was the 2009 models that started coming with the better headlights. No, they are not LED or HID better, but they sure beat the hell out of the dim candles that came stock on 03-08 bikes.
