Hello fellow buellers! This will be my first post on badweb, and I just want to say hello, and I hope that I can help everyone to the best I can, and everyone can help lil ol' me.

I ride a 2008 black xb12x, and I truly belive that buells have the most soul, best handeling, best street manners, most comfortable seat, most streetable power, and the best traits a streetbike could ask for. I have big plans for the bike in the future, and hope for everyone to go on this buelltastic journey with me.

Glad for you to find us, dr. Gumpert! You'll enjoy all the goings on, tips, rumors, and help that is everywhere here! If your ever south of houston, give a shout. I don't mind if you weave in your own lane, cuz that's as close to a corner as you'll get here. Take care and enjoy! Somewhat dirty n camo'd 07xb12x...

Glad to have you on the BB&D, Dr. How long have you had your Uly? You mention "big plans". Are you planning mods, or are you just planning lots of good times? Either way, have fun.

I meant big trips when I said "big plans" and I will hopefully write some reports about those trips. I do plan on making a bashplate, and getting some of the Trex guards.

The muffler is reinforced to create 2 jack points and like many parts on these bikes, serves a second purpose- that of a bash plate. The stock saddlebags serve as crash protection in a tip-over or slide situation.
Yes, I know what you are thinking; the $500 muffler is the bash plate? The $1000 bags are the crash bars?
Yup. It saves weight.

Read up and post often. Let everyone get to know you. During the adventures help is usually closer than you think. If you go to EDIT PROFILE at the top of the page.
Then log in. Them click on TOPICS at the top of the page. There will be more topics available when logged on. One of them is the BUELL RIDER ASSISTANCE NETWORK, B.R.A.N. Useful when traveling and in a spot.
Welcome to the addiction.

Sounds good. I'm in Charleston SC, but I rarely travel rather than commuting. I have taken it to DC a couple of times, but Jet Blue added a commuter flight that eliminated my excuse to ride. I also have a black 2008 XB12X although it used to be blue. Turns out I couldn't get a blue chin fairing replacement so now it is black. It seems a little faster.
