Wondering what the capacity is (in liters) of the stock Ulysses top case (not the XT)?

I'm moving on from the Uly in favor of a new 2014 V-Strom 1000 and will be in the market for a top case. The Uly case has always served me well, so I'd like to find something similar in volume.

PS - I'm asking $3500 for my 2008 XB12X with luggage and farkles. If you're in FL and are interested, act fast. I'm trading it in Tue or Wed! It's listed in the classifieds

Well guys, the Uly has gone to a new home. She avoided the uncertain fate of a trade-in by one day. Everything sells quickly when priced right : )

This is by far the longest I've ever held onto a bike. The only time she ever left me stranded was the broken shift lever. Other than that, 28K miles of enjoyment.

Thanks for all of the help over the years!

Ride safe!

Hope your Uly went to a good home. Did you steer the new owner to the BB&D forum?
If you get a chance, give your thoughts/impressions of the Uly compared to the VStrom.
Good luck

Yes, I told the buyer this was the best place for all things Uly.

I'll post back with some Strom feedback once I've ridden it a bit. I'm looking forward to the ABS and traction control. But I'm going to miss the low maintenance of the Uly's drive belt and no valve adjustments.

And too be honest, after 8+ years, I'm kind of looking forward to no more fan noise. It didn't bother me for years, but lately, it was a growing a bit old.

Thanks. I'm looking at the Givi Outback Trekker bags for the Strom.

There are this:

and this:

I'd get a 55 if I had the extra $$ lying around.
