Had my 2007 xb12x in with my local HD dealer to perform a tps reset. (Used to do this job my self but since installing a race ecm I leave it to the "experts"). Anyway, they are unable to complete said task as apparently their technician could not get any readings when he hooked the bike up to their computer. He suggested to me that it might be a faulty oxygen sensor causing the problem. Just wondering is it possible to get at this sensor without removing either the fan or the rear shock?

Why would a bad Oxygen sensor interfere with a TPS reset?
Oxygen sensors don't do anything until they are heated to 600F.
Is this dealership trustworthy?

"He suggested to me that it might be a faulty oxygen sensor". These people do NOT know what they are talking about and are just guessing at it. It may be that the EBR ECM will not work with the HD software. Use TunerPro as some say you can not use ECM-SPY.

Experts! I'm sure they are experts at taking as much of your money as they can : )

Your O2 sensor is likely fine.

Yeah, was thinking exactly the same as you guys but I bowed to superior knowledge on the subject. I wrongly assumed that just because it had a HD AND Buell sign over the door that these people would know what they were talking about. Think I will get a second opinion. Thanks guys...
