I was under my bike trying to mash the new starter in and I noticed my front isolator looks like it's cracked.
Here is the conundrum: It's running really smoothly and it hasn't collapsed.

Have you folks seen a good isolator that looks like it's cracked?

I have no complaints as the bike has 52000 and the rubber dingus is original.

As long as the isolator hasn't dropped and isn't resting on the head of the bolt that secures the isolator to the frame, I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm pretty sure you'll feel it as soon as it fails.

I have had them crack and still be functional in a good way. When they fail you will feel the vibrations coming through the frame and bars to your body. At that point you won't believe how much smoother a new one is. Kind of compares to having a new fresh set of tires.

Thanks guys.
I just thought it was weird that it looked killed but behaved fine.
I have had front isolators fail on my X1 without any visible damage.

I am pretty impressed that it hasn't popped on me yet after so many miles.
Things I didn't expect to crap out that did:
primary cover
voltage regulator
wheel bearings

It won't 'pop'. They just kind of 'lean towards bad' until you can't stand the vibrator you are riding.

It will not fall apart or let the motor drop. The rubber will tear and it will lay on the bolt head metal to metal. When you accelerate or decelerate you can sometimes feel it slopping about. But mostly the vibrations will be overwhelming.
