Hello all, I'm new here, just purchased a '10 xb12xp in Jan. and am having a blast with it so far. I would like to thank the posters here for answering questions I had and showing me just how many questions I should have been asking.

When I picked up the bike, the seller told me someone else really wanted the bike, Doug at the American Police Motorcycle Museum. I'm not interested in selling, but called Doug with a lead on another xp. Until 2015 he had been unaware that there was a police model. He would like to present info in his museum. In our short conversation, his wish list in descending order would be:

A bike used by a police force
A police model bike
Information to create a display about xp's
Any other information about xp's - how many were put in service and/or contact with an officer who rode one in service.

Doug seemed very interested in any information he could get. According to my seller he seemed prepared to pay a reasonable amount to add one to his collection. I have his phone # that I would be glad to pass along, just not on an open forum. Thanks.

That's about what I figured as well. It'll be up on the chopping block here in about 6 months. Time for something new.

Dealer gave me 4700 for the trade. New Road Glide in my drive.

The buell was a great bike and I enjoyed it a ton. 40k miles with very few issues (original belt). But it was time for something new.

Welcome to the forum Jeff. I sent you a PM since I am your neighbor across the street and down a couple houses. I always have a trailer in the driveway, either my Triton sled trailer, or the boat.

Saw your XP in the driveway Saturday on the way to a volleyball tourney and pointed it out to my wife right away!

As mentioned in my PM, my service manual is always available if you need to borrow it. And the beer fridge is always stocked. If you see the lights on in the garage, or the garage door open, come on over!

(No flaming for meeting my neighbors through a forum post!)
PS: Thumper plays poker at my place often.

Hey, Mark, good to finally meet you. Thumper said we should meet ever since I moved to the neighborhood.
You must keep the Uly hidden, or I'm just oblivious when I drive by. Thanks for the service manual offer, but that was my first purchase. Give me a yell if you ever need anything, I'm lucky to have a box of spare bits. I will watch for an open garage door, or stop by if you see mine open.

Back to my original topic, does anyone know any LE agencies that put an xp in service?
I located take off parts that came from a bike used by Valley Forge Nat. Hist. Parks Park Rangers, but other than some info about some xp's that were demoed to a few agencies there is not much out there.
