I was at the Ktm Adventure rally and Continental had a Tkc70 on display. The guy said it will be available soon but it may be a while till the exact Uly sizes are are out. Looked to be more off-road capable than all but the Tkc 80.

With some aggressive riding I shredded the rear Tkc 80 on my 990 in around 2K miles but it seemed to perform well off-road and surprisingly well on pavement. The front is still in good shape at around 3.5 K.

On my Uly I recently replaced the Scorpian Trails with D616s. Seem a little better on Dirt but were still lacking on muddy single track.

Maybe the Tkc70 will fill the void for a more versatile tire.

Hmm.... What I'm wondering about on these TKC 70s is that front...

The 170/60 rear will work fine, but it looks like the only front available would be a 120/90.

Seems like that would be a bit tall.

From the link Toolinround provided, describing the TKC 70:

"Adopting the carcass construction from the road oriented ContiTrailAttack 2." <snip>... "The first German made radial sizes are currently scheduled to arrive in October, with the remaining sizes currently due in the spring of 2015." <snip>

Here's hoping that means that the TKC 70's will be available in all the same sizes as the Trail Attack next spring. That will bode well for the Versys 1000, Multistrada, and Uly crowd.

I'm loving the Trail Attacks, but would love them more if the tread was a bit more aggressive.
