Just giving a shout out in case you're a badwebber. Saw a Black 06/07 (had the beak) Uly with what appeared to be penguin cases headed east on OH 129 and eventually merging onto I-75 south towards Cincinnati, OH. I ride this route on my Uly almost every day but didn't today because I'm out of Khaki's long enough to cover my boots (I know I'm a nerd...and too lazy to do laundry to boot).

btdubbs: sounded gorgeous my friend! I've yet to hear one on the road in this condition before, and was kinda surprised at how awesome these things really sound with the stock can!

You may see my Uly in Lebanon...

(If you drive by my garage while I'm out working on one of the million pieces it is currently in).

(And you could have seen me broken down by the lebanon Wal-Mart on my 78 KZ-400. The third shake down ride shook something down alright...)

This one was brought back from the dead... wiring harness melted, many mismatched parts, head gasket blown, carbs full of jello, master cylinder pumping mud, etc.

It's running pretty well now, but the restore took me a couple years of on and off puttering, and the carbs are having some issues (float height is clearly off, and having sat for two years I expect they are re-jellowed).

It's kind of charming to have to drop a gear to go up a hill! And the great noises it makes compensate for the awful vibrations it has.

Haha! Next time I'm around Lebanon I'll keep my eyes open wide!

You will hear it before you see it. It is a factory exhaust, but the years have not been kind to it. : )
