NGK DCPR9IEX Iridium plaus are the very best for Buell use.

No fouling like the originals.

Never tried Iridiums but have only fouled one stock plug in 44,000 miles and that was a rear plug at 5,000 miles. Blipping the throttle was the cause so I never blipped anymore and no more fouled plugs.

Besides costing more, what do Iridiums provide over the stock plugs because fouling isn't really a problem as far as I'm concerned.

They'd probably last virtually forever if you wanted to leave them in that long as the iridium electrode is very wear-resistant. I've run the NGK iridiums in both my Uly and my old Honda VT500FT Ascot (which oddly enough, seeing how it's a water-cooled V-twin, uses the same exact plug except as the Buell with a removable widget on top where the spark plug boot snaps on), but I can't honestly say I've been able to see any measurable increase in performance or gas mileage.

The Iridiums let my XT start at lower temps with less chance of fouling. I did manage to foul the iridiums though. The colder it was out the more power it made.

10R12A's work just fine in my '06...matter of fact, I just pulled out a set that had 20k miles on them because I figured it was time for new ones. The gap had worn/opened up from .035" to .045"...but other than that...lol.

Never fouled one. Ever.
