I located a discontinued Touratech part 380 0005 at touratech austria.

I read 2 postings on here from 2006 that when they fitted the guard it made the front oof the bike vibrate violently. Touratech said they may have not send the right mounting parts.

Is there anyone that has the front guard successfully fitted with no problems.

Thanks for the link. I see the op cut the clutch side and just bolted down the throttle side.

I have had one on since 2008 with no problems. A useful part.

Turf, did you have both of the 2 top mounts bolted on?

I'll have a look tomorrow when I'm in my garage. I can't picture it in my mind.

It is important to use the flexible mounting as shown. Do not bolt them directly to the engine.

Let me know if you need the instructions and I'll send them to you.

Beat me to it. That's just like mine. Fastens like that. It's an excellent guard.

Is this actually included in the kit from TT or pieces you DIY?

It is part of the kit. At least the newer ones. You should find the instructions on the internet. If not let me know and I'll send them to you.

Finally mounted this thing up on the Uly, been sitting on a shelf for far too long.

Michael - can scan and e-mail the instructions that include the parts list if interested.

Since we are in the dry season, left off the lower portion of the front fender and mounted up the STT fork guards, also on the shelf for too long . . .

The Touratech parts, like most of the plastics on the Uly are sprayed with Line-X. Based on expected heat from the muffler, the "inside" of the muffler guard was left bare steel...

No issue with heat affecting the Line-X.
