I'd love to find a blue or black replacement front fender to replace the original one that has some scars, marks and tattoos on it.

Have they become unobtanium?

I don't need carbon fiber...just looking for the plastic OEM ones.

FOUND A BLUE ONE AT THE DEALERSHIP! Parts counter guy was so happy he was able to find me one, unload the last one he had in stock and even cut me a deal on the price.

When he said it was Battle Blue, the little voice in my head said "thrust blue". When he brought it out, it looked sooo close that I said "heck with it, I'll take the chance".

I'll put this BRAND NEW Battle Blue low fender up for sale on the parts page.

Rat,

The fender was partially melted away from the underside when it rubbed on the front wheel. A neighbor dropped off some planting equipment with my wife and somehow <facepalm> a part of it was left resting on the front part of the fender. The Florida heat allowed the fender to soften and stay in contact with the tire after I drove off a few days later. Now it looks like partially cooked melted plastic

a little contact + tire friction = warp-age

Battle Blue was the light blue on the 2003 xb9r, it is lighter than the thrust blue on later years.
