Replaced my prematurely failed D616 with a Heidenau K73 120/70. A nice looking supermoto tire. Going from web anecdotes, this tire may be on par with the front D616 for handling, grip, and wear.

It comes in a 160/60 rear -- I may try that down the road, even if only for cool weather edge of the season riding.

Interesting tire selection.

Looks like it is on the rim backwards?

I know what you mean, Ourdee, but the rotation indicator has it going that way.

First impressions: It seems to wander a bit on pavement at speeds above 110km/hr. Not sure if tire pressure and/or suspension settings will affect that.

I'm running it at 36 psi -- the max listed on the sidewall.

Suspension is set up to the owners manual for 200-230 lbs, which might be a bit much. Gear plus luggage plus myself is probably under 200 lbs most days.

Set the suspension for yourself and see if it helps. That's just a starting point. I found that a few tweaks after the initial set up make it a lot better. IF it's still loose at speed try lowering the rear preload or raising the front. The small increase in fork angle will help at higher speeds.

Im thinking get the rear tire now..probably would handle lot better..my local bike mechanic says the 160 back tire will work just fine..just my 2 cents worth
