I have a 06 uly it has a uni foam air cleaner. A buell race pipe is coming in on Wednesday Yippee !! I also want to wrap the pipe. Do I need to replace the ext. gaskets if I take the Ext. pipe off? Also would like to do a breather re-rout. Will I be putting the motor in harms way by putting the race pipe on without a Buell race ECM, or the software & cable to modify the stock ECM? and turn off the Ext valve actuator, and do TPS resets

And one last question is there anyone in the greater Oklahoma City area that would be willing to help or walk me through the software side of things.

All comments and suggestions are welcome

Thanks Dave

Well i'm on the other side of the puddle, changing the maps on the stock ECM is dirt easy after using the ecmspy a few times, turning the exhaust Valverde actuador can be done with the ECM spy too.

Breathe rerouted is not complicated just a bit of time and having the right parts.

Replace gaskets for sure. your call on clamps and straps but if not looked after regularly and checked they can break. thats how so many exhaust studs break. I've started keeping spares of certain items so i can replace immediately if i see something wrong. Lets see if there is conversation on the uni-filter soon. I'm running one as well. Show pix of the pipe if you would.

Thanks Sagehawk for the advice on the studs and clamps, The can is going into the platers for a Black Zinc Chromate finish.
