wanted to ask a few silly questions as instructions aren't totally clear to me. To reset the afv to 100, which tab do you go under. under o2 setup, adaptive fuel value, afv rear______? Under corrections tab, general tab, corrections tab, ol% I am at 105%. This hasn't changed in some time. my afv is currently at 105.3%. my understanding is that the afv will change with riding conditions, weather, etc. not always is it a fixed value. I have done small increases to be ready for data logging and the 105.3% has been constant for a while. question is , does one of these values hold the afv at a constant? (corrections-general-corrections ol%105.)
On another note, to be ready to datalog, do you set the o2 sensor max from 150 to 100, and the min 60 to 100? then when done, go back to the 150 max and 60 min? This is my perception of what is going on and am looking for a bit of help to understand how the program functions with my ecm. My 07 has the buieb ecm according to the ecmspy listing for my year.

You can re-set the AFV if you wish but I would not as it is fine. I am not saying that you are but do not get "hung up" over the AFV at this point.

"I have done small increases to be ready for data logging". The idea of doing a "logged run" is to record what the engine system is doing and THEN make the changes if needed. If you have done anything put it back to the way it was before. DO NOT change any numbers in the O2 file either as NOT NEEDED.

Doing the logged run. Do something like 20 mins over mixed miles, speeds and gear changes but before that do a few trial runs to make sure you know how to save the data and such. Trust me it is worth doing this before you start saving any data that is worth using. Turn OFF things like screen saver, wifi, hibernation and the like on the device you are using. Also make sure the data cable is secure. It may sound like nothing but it is very easy for it/ you to become entangled with.

Good luck.

AFV Section for change
For the ecmspy for mono 2.0.30.2, is this the location that the afv is reset to 100? This is original question that i asked for my clarification. For the changes that I made in fueling, the ecm spy manual calls for timing set, tps set, backups of software, etc. one of which is to multiply the front and rear fuel maps by the afv value one time. Then its off to tuning by datalogging. Just following the written word of the program writers to the best of what i understand they are saying. by the way, the bike does run better all around, I don't think its anywhere near its potential yet. Thanks for the advice and I look forward to more knowledge shared. I don't know how many have this version of spy so my original post might have been in greek.

My '06 Uly was sputtering and popping at low rpms. I cleaned the throttle plate and rezeroed the TPS multiple times; the problem persisted. My AFV value was only like 102%, which I didn't think was the problem. But after checking everything out (all seemed normal), I decided to go ahead and reset the AFV to 100% and see what happened. After I did, the low rpm popping and stumbling seems to have almost entirely gone away now. In fact, I don't recall a pop or stumble since doing it. Might want to give it a try and see what happens. Simple and easy enough to give it a shot, plus it's a low risk change to the fuel scheduling.

Oh and before you reset the AFV, make sure you don't have something like this going on under the hood...

Ah sorry Sagehawk I do not know the new version of SPY with Mono but I would think the AFV is were Teeps said. I would need to read through it to know how it was setup.

In screen shot i posted, max afv is 150, min is 60, and increase factor is 105.3 %. Exactly what my afv stays at. To the right, is the box adaptive fuel value that values appear of now 105.3, which is current afv value. This is where i think i change to 100 if so chosen. No box exists that is as simple as teeps post shows. And actually i still have older ecmspy on laptop that i can refer back to.
