I have tried to get used to it...but can't get it. Anyone want to trade for black? I'll even throw in The seat of your choice ( tall/low)

If i cant find someone to trade...I will probably end up painting mine...Has anyone done this? does paint stick to this plastic well?

With the proper preparation and materials it will hold up very well. But it ain't cheap to do it right, in as much as it won't be right if you do it cheap!

I guess I could show you why I like it.

That looks brilliant, Etennuly. I like the belly pan in particular.

Thanks. I did a bunch of them several years ago.

My favorite comments came from EB himself when he autographed it in '07 and again in '10. He said "I like what you have done, that is the way it should have looked".

Color is all in how you use it.

The only aspect of the colour on your Uly I'm not so sure about is the orange on the panniers. I have a pair of grey Gobi ones from my KTM 950 days (incidentally I much prefer the Uly). But I've never used them on the Uly. I may one day. The other comment I'd make refers to the top box. They sit so far back on the Uly. I have a Shad 45L box, again left over from my 950, which I'm thinking of bolting to the Triple Tail on the Uly in the forward position. The only thing that's stopped me up until now is the prospect of butchering the Triple Tail, although a few bolts through it is hardly butchering it, I suppose!

I simply call things like that and experimental adjustment. It is your bike, make it fit your needs and desires. If you don't like it.....change it back!

Exactly. And it bring the box forward a bit. I don't take passengers. I liked the look of it too when I sat in on the Triple Tail so assess things. The Triple Tail could still be usede as a backrest if needed (without the box) or a rear rack, without unbolting the base plate.

I need my top box back on the factory rack. When I go on a four or five day tenting trip the rear seat gets full up with gear. I also use the rear seat space to stretch my back and legs on long rides, and I have passengers who like the space so that they can move around a bit.
