a couple yrs ago when I realized parts might get harder for my 06 Uly, I ordered up the newer triple clamps that would give me a tighter turning radius from Al at American Sport Bike. Thanks to Total for the elongated locking pin and steering head bearing help also. Well this spring I finally got around to doing this pretty-complicated swap out. The bike was in a thousand pieces and off came the old clamps. It was then I noticed that the new clamps looked exactly like the old clamps! I quickly contacted Al with my invoice in hand. We verified that the wrong clamps got ordered and he ordered up the correct clamps. Luckily they were still available. And Al being the stand up business man that he is, exchanged the clamps with no hassles. More than likely he will have to eat the cost of these other clamps that no one will probably want. But after 2 yrs, I was impressed. Thanks again Al for the support you've given me and others with our crazy bikes. It's good to know you're still out there. Also, here's a picture of how I modified the new upper clamp so to thread my throttle cables through the top(like the clutch cable). For those arm chair engineers out there, please spare me the scolding for drilling a hole in the top of my clamp. After putting a 2 inch ROX riser on, the cables were just too stretched underneath the fly screen. This seems to work really well.

I've spoken with Al at length on a few occasions buying parts for both my Uly and S1. Fabulous customer support. Al's a smart and super knowledgeable guy willing to spend time on the phone helping you and just a nice person to boot. Honest too, if something he sells is not right for you he won't push it. Can't recommend American sportbike a more. |

Al at American Sport Bike has helped me a few times as well and I am grateful. With this website and Al's help on technical advice and parts, I plan to keep my Buell a long time. Thank you Al and fellow BadWebbers! (Message edited by motorbike on April 29, 2014) |

American Sport Bike is a great resource. That also reminds me that I need to order the seat quick releases for my son's XB12R track bike. |
