I have asked this a couple times through 2007. I searched the forum and still no one has ever posted pics of the uly with City-x bars except for the smart guy who took a photo of a set of bars on his seat of his Uly . I have ordered the City-x Phantom Metallic bars for my Uly and just wondered if anyone could post pics of that set up or photoshop on a thrust blue Uly.
Tanks.

They're the same dimensions as the Lightning bars IIRC but with the crossbar, you might find a pic of that. I've one of each in my garage, wouldn't mind trying it out myself except I like the leverage of the stocker.

Yes. It has been said many times. It is absolutely false. I have sat on both bikes back to back. Feels very different. Not the same. And not comfortable on the regular lightning. So how 'bout it. Any photoshop wizards. tanks

I have CityX bars on my Ulysses XT. I'd post pictures, but it's also got a Firebolt front fairing on it, so it probably wouldn't quite give you the visual you're looking for.

I really like the CityX bars on it. Nice sporting riding position that provides all day comfort.

Personally I found the stock Uly bars akin to apehangers,

1313 were they any cable length problems or any modifications you had to make or was it a direct bolt job? tanks

I put wider bars on my City-X because the stock ones had me feeling like I was reaching in to the center of the bike, I could see nothing but my shoulders in the mirrors, and they weren't high enough. I bought a set for a four wheeler that were three inches wider and two inches higher. More leverage and comfort for an old guy!

Mods were required because they were wider and higher. I had to relocate my cables and wires. You are going narrower and lower so it should be simple bolt on except for peeling your grips. May have to re-drill a location hole or two for the mirror mounts.

I am using a pair of racing 4- wheeler pro-taper bars. The previous bozo that owned my bikes had some really low super bike bars that were uncomfortable.

I like the sound of this. The only drawback would be the City X bars would be no stronger. Slightly off topic, but do Renthal or anyone do a set that would be suitable for the Ulysses, making them ever so slightly lower?

Well they're here. Loosened all the bolts. I will work on the left grip Saturday. Looking forward to the new lower position. They look so much better than the gloss black bars on the 2006 City-x. UMMM Phantom metallic..

I installed the city-x bars today. Had to drill hole for left hand heated grip. Have no way to upload pics from my phone but it looks and feels great. Can't wait to ride it as soon as the weather breaks.
