Ordered a Hyperpro lowering spring from my '08 X model. Klaus from EPM Performance emailed me asking for a spring measurement which is impossible with the comfort kit in the way. I know I'm going to have to remove the kit anyway but I'm not going to be able to get to that till this weekend. Beforehand, can anyone tell me if the '07 spring is the same as the '08 X model spring?

I'm pretty sure all X springs are the same. Are you trying to measure length? I'd think you could do that with a tape measure without removing the comfort kit.

They probably want the "free" length of the spring. That means the spring has to be off the damper unit.

He wanted the length with the rear wheel in the air. That was not a problem. Issue is the comfort kit covers the top of the shock. I was not confident I could thread a tape measure from the bottom and get it on the top of the spring by feel.

Does not matter now he is going to ship me the '07 spring. If it's not right I'll send it back.

Understood.

Why are you changing the spring?

It lowers the rear bike 25mm.

You should be able to get a matched lowering kit from HyperPro. That is the front springs and the rear shock spring. This is the way to do it. Take advice from the Guy on this issue.
