2010 it took 2nd from what I researched

Zack.... I'd love to blow up a picture or two of this bike racing or on display race style if you have any. Frame and mount it in the home shop.

Max is the only HC member left from that era apparently still there.....

It is likely not DOT certified. There are a bunch of regulations it needs to meet to be road legal, either they just never got the tire certified or it doesn't meet all the requirements for legal highway use. Without knowing more about that model tire I couldn't say if it would be fine to use on the street or not, many race tires require a boatload of heat to stick, which you wouldn't get on normal street duty, but I can't vouch for that tire. Rain performance is another potential concern, there is a small chance that it is a tire intended for only dry surfaces.

I am 95% sure that is a Michelin rain front tire. They are not for highway use because they shred themselves quickly due to over heating when ridden in the dry.

Re the touratech oil cooler, I have been advised all touratech stuff for the uly is no longer produced, there selling left over stock. The only item I know of is the headlight protector. A few months ago the oil cooler protector was deleted from the site.

24hrs ago it reappeared along with the oil filter protector. I emailed TT asking what is the situation, apparently a customer returned both parts packaged and unopened. I ordered the headlight protector and oil filter protector (this wont work with the chin spoiler) I'll keep it handy until i can find the skid plate.

No worries its a shame pp is tarmac all the way up and even a bigger shame these xb's are not built today as I think they would have evolved into an even more awesome motorcycle.

Nathan - do you know Dave Przygocki?
He was Sales Manager back then and a big time Bueller.
He's still in Sales but at Sun.

Anyway he may have some racing pix of that bike...
All I have are iPhone pix from the shop.

If you see Max, tell him I said Hi.
He was their best 1125 tech, he actually got the Buell class for HD techs.
Bit of a space cadet sometimes, me too tho so no stones thrown.. : )

Dunno if Dave still has his Uly(s) but I get Buell related e-mail from him periodically.
I expect that since he had 2, I'm sure he's still got at least one.

I really can't understand anybody being an EX Uly owner.

Some progress......

ttr

Instrument cluster re-installed... and what a pleasant surprise.... 105 miles....I'm thinking demo miles before it was pulled from the showroom floor and started to become race ready.

ttre

Race badge.... proof it raced... not by me but ...

yyh

As it sits now...
Ordered H7 bulbs from Al with American Sport Bikes... should arrive today. Need to finish install of heated grips. Clean and oil K&N filter. Oil has been changed, fueled and started... loud, and mean SOB. Might or might not install turn signals... not required here but stupid drivers make me want to ...

Need to figure out a way to mount the license plate and possible rear turn signals... grinder did a great job cleaning up the tail line for the race but now makes it difficult to be cost effective in mounting said items....It is likely to draw a lot of attention from the police as is I figure... I'm trying to not give anyone any more reasons then necessary.

Cheers, spring is coming soon....

Its looking nice!
i made this from some stainless plate and bolted it with the two torx bolts under the tail,

later added some small brackets to it for the turn signals

Nathan,

I think that's the plug for the exhaust valve actuator (that sits on top of the airbox) for the stock muffler.

next problem has arised.....

turn signals dont blink.... everything is plugged in correctly I believe... switch signal on and the little black box under the cowl does a little buzz buzz but barely... but no blinking... I took the same black box out of my Uly and hooked it up and same exact results... slight buzz buzz but no blink...

Thoughts???
