Hey fallas, 06 uly. Bought bike with scratches on both bags from the kickstand breaking. I dropped it this past tuesday in a slow speed downhill gravel turn. Just more scuffs. But this winter im wanting paint the bags and airbox covers white, anyway to get rid of the scuffs?

Best thing I found for repairing scuffs and scratches on sidecases is carefull sanding (fill deep gouges with plastic filler - i.e. bondo) and top it off with truck bed liner (aerosol). Not an exact match for OEM, but if you take your time and do both cases - painting all the black - black - you should be happy with the results.

opinions may vary.

I've had pretty good luck with the spray on tool-dip, Plasti-Dip.
I've used the black on my chin-fairing. no more rock chips..

I have a pretty scuffed up side bag as well. My approach was to smile when I look at it and remember the adventures that scuffed them. And add stickers.

My decorative panels are mismatched though (thanks to a Corolla making epic bad decisions). The replacement Hepco part was a different color than the Buell part. I've thought about plasti-dip for those.

can bondo be used on our bags? I thought it was only for metal surfaces.
