Just returned from a great 3500+ mile trip through eight states, temps from 40 - 100 degrees, elevations from sea level to over 12,000 ft., rain, etc., and my trusty XT ran flawlessly. Reading about electrical gremlins and other 'pop up' problems with Uly's on this forum concerns me, but after over 26,000 miles of trouble free, very enjoyable riding, other than a rare defective fuse problem, I'm really pleased with my Uly. I'd like to feel confident that I could get 100,000 miles + out of my
Uly, as I did from my last touring bike, but the fear of a pop up gremlin is always lurking, da$n it! : )

It runs great, is smooth, fast and agile. Uly's are special! Best of luck to all Uly riders.

We need to see more posts like this one.

I hope you get 100K out of your Uly.

I'm just hoping both of ours are happy for the autumn riding season here. It's been 24 years since we've lived in a place with a true change of seasons, and I hear the fall riding season is spectacular here in the noco.

Good to hear posts like this are why I bought a Uly. Wish I had the same luck with mine.

Either read more (every bike forum for every manufacturer has a list of known "yeah that happens" issues), or read less of the "yeah that happens" lists here. : )

My XB9SX was the most reliable bike I have ever supported. My Uly has been almost as good so far (when Corollas aren't driving over it).

I had a similarly awesome ride in the beginning of July. ventured down south to SC via NC, VA, MD, PA, CT....
Did deal's gap, blue ridge, skyline.

3000 miles total. No drama.

Of course, I brought a spare belt and a pile of tools but never needed them.

I did the same, Nate, : ). Real space hogs for sure. : ) I agree, Reepicheap! Well said. I get good info. here so I'll keep reading but I'm starting to believe that preventative measures are working. That's my hope anyway. It has been a great bike! : )

Looks like Court posted a thing and removed it?
I'm halfway thinking his account is faulty or something.

He's like the ghost in the machine.

He and Dos Equis man...they live vicariously through themselves

Mike,

Have you put the agri "operator manual" tubes on your bike? You can mount two behind your racks very easily. And one on the rear rack cross brace. Gives you lots of room tools, etc.
