some one came up with a chart for the 2007 poor crank pin problem? Could you please repost? Thank you

There's a table here somewhere that someone compiled. All but maybe one were 2007 models (I think there was one 2006 included). There didn't seem to be any correlation between failures and build date- they were spread across the production year.

If I can find it, I'll post a link.

In particular, if somebody with a VIN close to mine could pipe in and say "I aint' broke!" I'd feel a lot less exposed... I'm a little nervous sitting right between RdKingRyder and WormJello, both with failures.

There were a couple of posts on ADVrider in the last month about an apparently pending failure; I need to follow up there and see if that one's been conclusively diagnosed yet.

Bill- what would you think about adding a column indicating what was done on failed bikes? We have my engine replacement/update (I'd guess there are others), and at least 2 or 3 crankshaft replacements, and at least 1 "part the bike out and buy an 08-up Uly", and that's probably not the only one of those.

Froggy (or any other moderator), can we add a sticky to the "new owner info" sub-forum here regarding the 07 crank failures? I figured I'd post a brief description of the problem with a link to Bill's table.
