I had to rebuild my fork a few weeks back and didn't have any way to lift/support my Uly.

After looking at a whole lot of variations I decided to build a cheap, simple and stable lift out of a scrap chunk of 2x10, a couple of used eye bolts I found kicking around in my shed and a $25 scissor jack I picked up at Walmart.

Welded a 6" piece of 1-1/2" flat bar across the top of the jack and bolted a 2x4 to that with the muffler profile cut out of it.

It worked great for the fork job... and now it's holding up the Uly while I get the new Scorpion trail mounted.

I will likely go the ATV lift route once my garage is built... but this is good enough for now... and it doesn't take up much space!

It's not pretty... it's not elegant... but it was ~$27 total and the bike is held solidly in place!

I've got one of those sissors jacks from a van I donated to the local volunteer fire departments for training. Anyways, I like what you've designed and implemented. The tie downs are a nice touch.
I watched them completely destroy my/their van with the jaws of life. Good tax right-off. Will never own another Chrysler product. POS.

Looks good!

I just tip the bike toward the left on the stand and slide an 8x8 chunk with a 2x4 on top
under the muffler with my foot and set her on it.

Hey Dan,

I did that once before... when turning the rear wheel to check for tight spots in my primary.

The main reason I made a lift was to hold it up for the fork rebuild. I knew it would be apart for a couple of days and I didn't want there to be any chance for a tip over!
