Does the P&A ECM have the open/closed loop modes? I was advised to do nothing more to it than a TPS reset with ECMspy but noticed it displayed an AFV value. Bike runs awesome.....just wondering

The only "deletion" the P&A computer has, is for the muffler valve. It's not set to run the valve, and won't toss a CEL if the valve isn't there / servo is unhooked.

The rest of it is just fueling and ignition tweaks.

So, one needs to do the 3k rpm steady throttle thing for it to come up with an AFV value? Is it safe to reset the afv? Was told ecmspy not compatible with p&a except for a couple of things.

Thanks!

AFAIK the P&A works fine with ecmspy, but the EBR computers tend to fight back.

Yes, do a reset and learn process.

Yes it functions the same as the stock ECM with that.

ECMspy can do a lot of good and a lot of harm, depending on how you use it, so in general I personally recommend only using it for TPS resets and basic diagnostics, as it is playing with fire when you start doing things like touching fuel maps and changing parameters.

ECMspy should display the AFV no problem without doing anything special. When it was first programmed it was set to the default value of 100, the ECM may adjust it up or down depending on many factors.

Yes, but it will naturally go wherever it wants after some riding.

Correct, the P&A ECM works fine on ECMspy, but the EBR Race ECM has some things programmed different that ECMspy does not recognize, and using it can corrupt the ECM.

Thanks guys. Just replaced intake and injector seals and it ran noticeably different. Didn't know if it was from that or having TB out and jostling the TPS. Resets here we come. I had no plans to alter maps, I aint dat smart!
