Before I go into detail, let me preface by saying that I reluctantly had the dealership fix my intake leak at the end of the riding season last year...at the same time, we were buying a house, moving and learning how to be parents for the first time, so I had no free time.

Based on Babweb folks, I diagnosed the problem for the dealership (the hard part right). They examined and agreed....$557 later I had the bike back with new intake seals at 30,238 miles. Now, at 30,608 miles, the same symptoms are back....stalling at start up, bogging down & intermittently missing as the engine warms, you can even hear the leak for that matter & I confirmed by spraying the intake with carb cleaner yet again...engine idle drops & bogs down.

Called the dealer today...they said the parts and labor are only warrantied for 90 days (repair was in Oct 2012), but they would be willing to look at it again at MY COST! The original seals lasted nearly 30k miles, the replacements are leaking at less than 400 miles. Do I even waste my time and take the bike back to the dealer and try to fight the charges (assuming it's the seals again)? I feel that for $557 & the problem is still present, I got ripped!

You did, you should go in and sit down with the manager face to face and ask him if that is really how he runs his business. If so, walk away, hit them on their facebook, twitter, e-mail the dealership GM and if nothing is done BBB.

BBB might not do anything but it usually scares them into action and the mark will show up on the BBB record.

Smac I've had a small problem with leaking at what I thought was the intake seals, but Paul56 suggested injector o rings, well i replaced booth and its running sweet as ever.As for the price the dealer is charging, not good,I had mine done once few years ago,at classic motorsports in traverse city mich. 2 hours labor and 4.36 parts, and injector 0 rings might take all of 10min once the throttle body is out which they have to do to put in new intake seals
